Take the next step in your career in the community services sector with this advanced qualification. This course will give you the high-level skills needed for a role with a community organisation.

This course gives you high-level communication skills, and the ability to develop strategies to work with at-risk groups within the community. You will also gain valuable research skills and be taught how to work within legal and ethical frameworks. This course provides the skills and knowledge essential to undertake case management in the Community Services Industry. You will use your skills and knowledge to develop relationships with clients, coordinate services for your clients, network with other agencies and services, support your team in work health and safety and ethical conduct.

This qualification is designed for people who are currently working in the community services sector and aim to advance their career within the industry. It will give you the knowledge and skills you need to lead teams, supervise other community services workers and undertake project work which requires an understanding of budget management and financial planning to the required level.

To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have successfully completed the unit CHCDEV002, Analyse Impacts of Sociological Factors on Clients in Community Work and Services. Part of the assessment requirements for the unit CHCDEV002, requires the student to complete at least 100 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.

Completion of the requirements for CHC52015 – Diploma of Community Services may lead to further study options in the Social Sciences including the Bachelor of Social Work.
